Despite another good performance from Speedy Smith, Maccabi Haifa will not qualify for the Final Four

Speedy Smith decided to finish the season in Israel when the EMBL cancelled the rest of the season.

With some big performances during the end of the regular season, Smith helped his team qualify for the Playoffs (He tested negative for the Covid-19 but he missed the last 2 games of the regular season because he needed to stay in quarantine because he had contact with someone who tested positive for the Covid-19).

In the playoffs, Haifa face Maccabi Rishon, a team who beat the powerhouse Maccabi Tel-Aviv a couple of days ago.

Unfortunately for Smith’s team, Maccabi Rishon was too strong. Smith delivered another good performance for his last game in Israel: he recorded 21 points, 9 rebounds and 7 assists in 36 minutes, finishing near to another triple-double !

The future Antwerp Giants player will now take some time off after a season that started in September in Hungary for him.
