Player Profile: Max Dehon

Youngster Max Dehon finished his sophomore season at Northwest College Trapper Athletics with a loss at Western Wyoming in Region IX Tournament play. Although Dehon dropped 14 pts in that game he couldn’t prevent Northwest from taking the 84-57 loss, effectively ending their season with a 9-22 overall record.

It was already the second season in the USA for the Brussels native who joined Northwest in the summer of 2018 and he has clearly gone through a steady progression with them as he went from averaging 2.1 ppg & 1.5 rpg in 8.3 mpg in his freshman season to averaging 9.5 ppg & 4.6 rpg in 18.7 mpg this season. He played in a total of 27 games, including 18 starts as he finished in double-figures scoring 13 times with a season-high 19 pts in an overtime loss at Bismarck State (Dec. 13). In that game he also pulled down a season-high 16 rebs for his first (and only) Double-Double of the season. He shot a very solid 62% on his 2pt attempts, 33% on his 3’s and 61% on his FT’s.
